I am a silver girl

I am a silver girl. Right from my teenage years, when dressing right and looking beautiful had started becoming more important than barbies and teddys, I found myself more attracted to the moon metal than that glittering Gold. While Gold might seem bold and dazzling, Silver is subtle and elegant. Silver has an aura of that delicate elegance that is associated with the moon. Just close your eyes and think of the moon and the sun. The moon.. The moon lets you  look up the at the sky without hurting the eyes, the moon brings in the much needed rest. In the era of the Vedas, silver was believed to be the metal of the moon. The shimmering white elegance of silver elevates any attire you choose on any day. We can deck up our ethnic wear with a heavy silver necklace, earrings, mang tika and turn heads in a wedding celebration. A simple silver choker and bangles with a white saree would look perfect while you string up flowers into a garland for Sri Krishna.

Gold Girls would argue that gold would also be absolutely perfect for all the events stated above.
Yeah...Might be.. But just as you cannot look up at the sky in broad daylight due to the extreme heat of the sun, so can you not always be able afford pieces of Gold. Its price is too hot to touch. But silver is the moon - you can touch, feel and get yourself a piece of silver everyday if you want to. Silver is affordable!
